England's Premier League has revealed its outrage at a live television rant made by Egypt and Al Ahly legend Mohamed Aboutrika recently.
The former striker has landed himself in hot water after he went on a verbal onslaught against homosexuality during a a show produced by beIN SPORTS, one of the EPL's main television rights holders, on Monday.

The retired star, who is now a pundit for the Qatar-owned broadcaster, is said to have criticised the English top flight's Rainbow Laces campaign – which shows support for the LGBTQ+ community by the wearing of multi-coloured laces, armbands and badges, among other things – an initiative all 20 Premier League clubs are a part of.
Aboutrika was speaking on a live beIN SPORTS broadcast when he went into a two-minute rant, making anti-gay comments and even going as far as asking Muslim players to boycott the Rainbow Laces campaign.
"This phenomenon is not only against Muslim nature, but it's against human nature," Aboutrika said.
"By doing this homosexuality, we are humiliating them [humans]."
This attack on the LGBTQ+ community was much to the disappointment of the EPL, who have since held talks with beIN SPORTS about the ex-Pharaohs attacker's conduct.
"We wholeheartedly disagree with the pundit's views," a Premier League spokesperson told ESPN.
"The Premier League and its clubs are committed to supporting LGBTQ+ inclusion and making clear football is for everyone."

According to the Daily Mail, the media group has since reprimanded and sanctioned Aboutrika, and also released a statement condemning the actions of the two-time Africa Cup of Nations winner.
"As a global media group, we represent, champion, and support people, causes and interests of every single background, language and cultural heritage across 43 hugely diverse countries, as we show every day," the statement read.
