With the January transfer window deadline now just six days away, here are 10 deals that could still take place over the course of the next week.

Arsenal have been widely linked with a midfielder and a striker this month, but manager Mikel Arteta has had to remain patient as the club continues its negotiations for their reported targets.

Juventus star Arthur Melo is one of the players being looked at, with the Gunners attempting to sign the Brazilian on a loan move, according to the Daily Mirror

Despite slow progress in initial discussions, the 25-year-old, who is said to be out of favour at Juve, could yet find himself at the Emirates if the Premier League side can get the deal done.

Another Arsenal target in Fiorentina's Dusan Vlahovic, who is one of the hottest topics of this window, could reportedly have a big decision to make, with the Bianconeri said to have gained the upper hand in the race to secure his signature.

Back in London, Tottenham Hotspur's Dele Alli could make the switch to Newcastle United after the Tyneside club made a box-to-box midfielder their top priority, according to Daily Express.

With Eddie Howe's side looking to avoid relegation from the Premier League, the Magpies have reportedly identified the Englishman as someone who could bolster their midfield.
