Despite those outgoings, the Gunners appear to be en route to securing UEFA Champions League football next season – they are currently fourth on the Premier League table and have three games in hand over fifth-placed Manchester United.
According to the Daily Express, Arteta is looking to continue reshaping his team in the next transfer window, with a potential mass exodus of as many as 12 players said to be on the cards.
Goalkeeper Bernd Leno is understood to be one squad member who could be moved on after losing his No. 1 spot to Aaron Ramsdale, who has had an impressive start to life at the Emirates.
Forwards Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette are both expected to depart at the end of the season as their contracts are due to expire in June 2022, while loaned-out duo Hector Bellerin and Ainsley Maitland-Niles are set to leave Arsenal on permanent deals, according to Football.London.
Midfielder Lucas Torreira is also expected to be on the chopping block, with Serie A side Fiorentina among the frontrunners for his signature after they secured a buy option in their season-long loan deal for the Uruguayan.
