In fact, Tottenham Hotspur, Leeds United, Norwich City and Newcastle United are the only sides without any players playing in the competition.

Liverpool's title race could face a stumbling block with Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Naby Keita all making the final squads for their national teams.

The Reds have already been affected by the trio’s departure after they had to postpone their Carabao Cup fixture against Arsenal as they reportedly did not have enough players available due to a Covid-19 crisis. Leicester City suffered a similar fate as they had to reschedule their league match against Everton after losing Wilfred Ndidi, Nampalys Mendy, Daniel Amartey and Kelechi Iheanacho to the AFCON.
