After Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg got the 1-1 equaliser for the Spurs in the 68th minute, Conte raced out of his technical area to seemingly celebrate in front of Tuchel. This prompted a melee, with both coaching staff, along with some players, stepping in to separate the duo before both managers were shown a yellow card.

Reece James then scored to give the Blues a 2-1 lead in the 77th minute, following which Tuchel was seen gleefully sprinting past Conte's dugout down the touchline to celebrate the goal.

With tensions at an all-time high, Kane then scored a last-gasp equaliser moments before the final whistle.

Cameras quickly panned to the two head coaches at the full-time whistle as they went to shake hands, with Conte appearing to want the exchange to be over quickly, but Tuchel kept hold of his hand. The pair then squared off once again before security intervened.

According to The Sun, the Italian manager also had to be held back yet again in the tunnel as he barged into Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic.

Following the draw, Conte defended his actions in the various bust-ups with Tuchel.

"In my opinion, it is better to talk about the game," the Italian head coach explained, per the Daily Mail.

"I don't want to comment on the situation. If there is a problem, that is between me and him [Tuchel] and not anyone else.

"There's TV and video to understand what happened.

"For sure, I am not passive. If I see aggression, I answer with aggression.

"I repeat; it is not a problem. It was a great game with two rivals.

"You have to show passion every time because the result can be positive or negative, but you have to love your job and your work and show your passion.

"If the fans see this, it's good. You can take big achievements if you have a big passion in your job."

Interestingly, Conte later took to Instagram to post a short video of Tuchel running past him in celebration, along with a comical response.

"Lucky I didn't see you... making you trip would have been well deserved..." he wrote, along with three laughing emojis.

The Blues boss was also quizzed after the game about his celebration and his touchline row with Conte.

"In the middle I thought I should not do this but sometimes a match gets you and this one really sucked me in," Tuchel explained, per the Daily Mirror.

"It was pure joy, it may offend our opponents but they did the same.

"There are no hard feelings. I feel like it was a fair tackle from him [Conte] and a fair tackle from me.

"We did not insult each other, we did not hit each other, we are fighting for our teams."
