Chelsea target R2 billion star

Amid transfer speculation surrounding Antonio Rudiger's future, Chelsea have reportedly set their sights on a defender that would cost a club-record fee.

The German is believed to be in a contract standoff with the 2020/21 UEFA Champions League winners with his representatives yet to agree on a wage.

According to the Standard, talks between the pair have not gone down well as the centre-back reportedly wants £200 000 (R4.3 million) a week amid rumours that he is of interest to clubs such as Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain
