Hakim Ziyech: 'I will be a Chelsea player on 1 July'

The Blues confirmed last month that they had agreed a deal to sign the Ajax Amsterdam star in a deal reportedly worth £37 million, which will be official on 1 July 2020.

Majority of football around has been suspended and there is no guarantee about when the Premier League will resume, although clubs are reportedly keen to finish the 2019/2020 season.

While the Dutch Eredivisie season was ended on Friday, Ziyech insists he will still be a Blues player at the start of July.

"I really haven't been serious about that for a second," Ziyech told AD.

"I think my signature is under the contract and so yes, on July 1, I will be a Chelsea player. I never had any other thought. '

"In any case, the question is when the countries will really open again and I can safely start there. And then there is indeed the decision on the league that is played there. But I have no influence on that, I will see it all by then. "
