With just two weeks left before Liverpool begin their pre-season, manager Jurgen Klopp is reportedly working hard to expedite the signing of a certain midfielder to replace the departed Georginio Wijnaldum.
The Anfield club is yet to find a replacement for Netherlands star Wijnaldum, who left Merseyside as a free agent to join Paris Saint-Germain earlier in this window.

The Reds have been widely linked with the signing of two midfielders, namely Borussia Monchengladbach and Germany star Florian Neuhaus, and Leicester City and Belgium's Youri Tielemans.
However, a new name has now popped up, with the Daily Mirror reporting that Klopp has made an "express request" for Liverpool to sign Porto midfielder Otavio.
According to Portuguese sports newspaper A Bola, the 26-year-old's departure from Porto could be imminent after the Reds "advanced forcefully" to secure the player's services.
Liverpool reportedly have only two days left to trigger his €40 million (R680 million) release clause, which is set to increase to €60 million (R1 billion) should the Premier League side fail to act.
Porto's relationship with the EPL giants is believed to have a good bearing over the transfer as the two clubs have collaborated before, in arranging the loan deal for Serbian midfielder Marko Grujic last season.
Otavio made 42 appearances for the Liga NOS club in the 2020/21 campaign, scoring five goals and collecting 12 assists across all competitions.
