Liverpool's Mohamed Salah FIFA Puskas award decision questioned after beating UCL stunners

Salah, 25, walked away with the 2018 Puskas award as the Goal of The Season, ousting the iconic overhead kicks of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale in Real's run to their third consecutive UEFA Champions League title.

While the award was a consolation for Salah's surprise exclusion from the FIFPro World11 team, even a teammate of the Egypt international question the selected strike.

Former England midfielder Ryan Mason feels the honour hos 'lost credibility' due to the questionable decision.

"How was [Bale's goal] overlooked? Arguably one of the best ever CL goals?"
