Liverpool are reportedly closing in on the signing of Benfica striker Darwin Nunez in a deal said to be worth €80 million.
A number of reports have claimed that the Portuguese side have received the big bid from Liverpool on Friday, although discussions were on-going with regards to add-ons.
Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that the striker to sign a five-year deal with the six-time European winners.
Meanwhile, Nunez's move to Liverpool has seemingly been confirmed by his former club Almeria, with owner Turki Alalshikh posting a picture of the striker in a Liverpool shirt.

Almeria are reportedly set to get 20 percent of the final transfer fee when the move is finalised.
The 22-year-old striker finished the 2021/2022 season with 34 goals in 41 matches across all competitions.
Nunez would be Liverpool's second signing for the new campaign after the aquisition of Fabio Carvalho from Fulham.
