Manchester United find Cristiano Ronaldo replacement?

With Cristiano Ronaldo having reportedly been offered to Chelsea, Manchester United may already have a replacement in mind should the Portuguese star leave Old Trafford in this window.

Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes reportedly met with Chelsea's new owner Todd Boehly in Portugal last week, where a potential move for the veteran was discussed.

This news came soon after it was claimed the 37-year-old is frustrated with his club's lack of activity in the transfer market and that his future at the Theatre of Dreams will rest on whether or not the Red Devils are able to secure their targets in this window.

With the Portugal captain's future uncertain as things stand, it has now been reported that United could have a contingency plan in place should he decide to leave.

According to RMC Sport, the Premier League giants could turn their attention to Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar if Ronaldo departs Manchester.

The Brazilian was reportedly not planning an exit from the Parc des Princes in this window, but the restructuring at PSG and elevation of Kylian Mbappe as the face of the club is believed to have changed his mind, with the 30-year-old now said to be considering a move away from the Ligue 1 side.

Chelsea are understood to also be a potential destination for the Selecao star, with Blues striker Romelu Lukaku closing in on a return to Inter Milan, while Christian Pulisic is reportedly a transfer target for Juventus.
