The Premier League giants have been widely linked with Kieran Trippier and Ruben Neves, but the Norwegian tactician will seemingly have to sell some players before football director John Murtough sanctions moves for the aforementioned pair.
So which Red Devils stars could soon be on their way out of Old Trafford as a result?
The biggest name on the reported transfer list is Anthony Martial, who endured a difficult 2020/21 campaign, scoring just seven goals in 36 matches across all competitions.
About month ago, it was suggested by Manchester Evening News that the upcoming campaign could be his "make-or-break year to resurrect his Old Trafford career", but new reports suggest that United are willing to part ways with the Frenchman for the right fee.
Another player who could soon be on his way out of the Manchester club is Jesse Lingard, who impressed in the second half of last season while on loan at West Ham United.
Solskjaer has insisted that the player is in his plans for the season ahead, but it is understood that the Red Devils will not stand in his way if seeks a move elsewhere and a decent offer arises.
