Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Marshall Munetsi has been linked with a move to England, with no fewer than three clubs said to be interested in his services.
Munetsi (24) currently plies in trade in Ligue 1 in France with Stade Reims where he has already made 41 appearances across all competitions since his 2019 move from the Buccaneers.
The Zimbabwe international's impressive performances in the French top-flight have not gone unnoticed and it was recently reported that no fewer than three English clubs, including two from the Premier League, had inquired about his services.
According to RMC Sport h/t GFFN, the former Bucs star was the subject of a deadline day approach from Wayne Rooney-led Derby County ahead of the European deadline day earlier this month.
The proposed move would have taken the form of an initial loan deal but ultimately failed to materialise, meaning Munetsi, who is contracted to Reims until June 2024, will spend the remainder of the campaign in France.
Derby are not the only side said to be interested in the midfielder enforcer, as the report adds that he also courted interest from EPL sides Sheffield United and West Bromwich Albion during the transfer window.
