Salah, 27, is widely considered as one of the greatest African footballers in the game due to his exploits with the Reds over the past two and a half years.
Having won the Premier League golden boot with a record 34-goal haul in his debut season, the Egyptian followed on with another in the 2018/19 campaign, as well as winning the UEFA Champions League.
And in the current campaign, he's continued his prolific form, while leading Jurgen Klopp's side to the FIFA Club World Cup title and on the cusp of Premier League glory.
However, with no success with the Pharaohs on the international scene, El-Hadary admits Salah, who helped them qualify for the World Cup for the first time in 28 years, needs to achieve more.
"He also participated in the World Cup which is a huge achievement. However, what he lacks is winning the Africa Cup of Nations with Egypt to be the best player ever in the history of the Pharaohs."
The former AS Roma and Chelsea winger has scored 41 goals and registered 22 assists in 67 games for the North African giants since making his senior debut in September 2011.
