Arsenal have continued their spending spree, with the Premier League club having now confirmed their sixth signing of the window.
The Gunners have reached an agreement to sign Japan defender Takehiro Tomiyasu from Bologna for a reported fee of €20 million (R342 million), plus €3 million (R51 million) in add-ons.

"Japan international Takehiro Tomiyasu has joined us from Serie A side Bologna on a long-term contract," a statement from Arsenal read.
"...Takehiro will wear the number 18 shirt.

Technical director Edu said: "We're delighted to have signed Takehiro. We've been watching him for a while now and we’re pleased that we have reached an agreement with Bologna. He is an important addition to our squad."
Manager Mikel Arteta added: "Takehiro is a strong defender with good experience in Serie A and at international level. He's a versatile defender with great defensive qualities, high technical ability and composure on the ball.
"He will be an important member of our squad. We look forward to Takehiro joining up with us when he returns from international duty."
The 22-year-old becomes Arteta's sixth signing of the window, with the Gunners having secured the signatures of Nuno Tavares, Ben White, Martin Odegaard, Aaron Ramsdale and Albert Sambi Lokonga over the past few weeks.
