Arsenal have confirmed the loan signing of Real Madrid midfielder Martin Odegaard for the remainder of the season.

The 22-year-old has joined the Gunners on loan until the end of the 2020/21 Premier League season and will wear the No. 11 jersey for the remainder of the campaign.

"It’s great that we’ve secured Martin to come to us until the end of the season," Gunners boss Mikel Arteta told the club's website. "Martin is, of course, a player that we all know very well and although still young, he has been playing at the top level for a while.

"Martin will provide us with quality offensive options and we’re all excited to be integrating him into our plans between now and May."

The Norway international joined Los Blancos from Stromgodset in 2015 and has made 11 appearances for the club thus far, either side of loan spells across the Netherlands and Spain with SC Heerenveen, Vitesse and Real Sociedad.
