Pogba left United on a free transfer fo Juventus in 2012 and went on to develop into one of the finest midfielders in Europe.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup won eight domestic trophies, including four Serie A winner's medals before returning to Old Trafford for a then world-record £90 million transfer.

And Bartomeu has now revealed, the enigmatic character could so easily have been featuring for the Blaugrana, ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash against The Red Devils. 

"In the summer of 2015, Paul Pogba was playing in Turin and we simply told Juve that, if one day they decide to sell the player, we would be interested," Bartomeu told ESPN FC.

"When they sold the player, they told us what the offer would have to be and we couldn't afford that amount of money at the time.

"So he went to United, and he's making them better as a team because he's one of the stars of the world of football right now."

Pogba has enjoyed an incredible season with the Premier League club, scoring 14 goals and registering 11 assists in 39 games across all competitions.
