Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane has won the 2020/21 Premier League Golden Boot award.

On Sunday evening, following the conclusion of the 2020/21 Premier League season, Kane was awarded the Golden Boot award after ending the campaign with 23 goals to his name, one more than Liverpool star Mohamed Salah.

The Spurs striker narrowly pipped his Egyptian counterpart to the coveted prize after scoring in his club's final league match of the season and, in doing so, became only the third player to have won the award on three or more occasions, after Alan Shearer (3) and Thiery Henry (4).

Remarkably, the England captain also won the Playmaker of the Season award after recording a league-high 14 assists this term, becoming the first non-Belgian to claim the honour since the award's inception for seasons ago.

Kane excelled in the league despite Spurs' struggles this season which saw the club finish the campaign in a lowly seventh position, outside of the qualification spots for next season's UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League competitions.

As a result, his future at the club has been cast in doubt and the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United have all credited with an interest in his services in recent weeks.
