Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick has ordered Paul Pogba to return to the club after spending the last couple of weeks in Dubai.

Pogba suffered an injury during training with France in the last international break and has not featured for the club since the 2-2 draw with Atalanta in the UEFA Champions League.

Former United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer allowed Pogba to continue his recovery in Dubai, but Rangnick has confirmed the midfielder will return to the club this week.

“We spoke over the phone on Tuesday. He was still in Dubai. He is expected to come back today and then we will get to know each other in person on Sunday. We had a phone call for about 10 to 15 mins," the United coach said, as per The Sun.

“He told me that he is getting better but obviously still not fully fit.

“From what I’ve heard it will take another couple of weeks until he is fit for training again and then, because he has been out for quite some time, it will take another couple of weeks to get him to be match fit.

“In the first instance it’s he gets fully fit to be able to train with the rest of the group then we have to develop him physically and tactically to be also fit to play in the Premier League.”
