Supporters are now expecting to see the club attract some big names with regards to players and managers with their new found wealth, with the hope of following in the footsteps of Manchester City.

There have been outcry from the fans for Steve Bruce to step down after a disappointing start to the campaign but who would take over under the new ownership?

Antonio Conte is the biggest name available right now after parting ways with Serie A champions Inter Milan at the end of last season.

The Italian has been linked with Manchester United and Arsenal in recent weeks, but the Sun report he could be tempted by a big transfer budget at St James' Park.

However, the Telegraph have reported that Rangers manager Steven Gerrad and former Chelsea coach Frank Lampard are the early frontrunners for the job if Bruce is sacked.

Some of the other managers linked with the Magpies include Roberto Mancini, Jose Mourinho and former Newcastle coach Rafael Benitez who was a fan-favourite.
