A former FC Barcelona star has snubbed Lionel Messi for Ronaldinho as the best player he played alongside at the Camp Nou.
With Ronaldinho and Messi being the only two players to have won the Ballon d'Or while at Barca in the 2000s, a comparison between the two former Blaugrana No. 10s is not unusual in some quarters.

Mexican defender Rafael Marquez, who spent six seasons with the Catalan side, has now named Ronaldinho as the best player he played with during his Barca days.
In a recent interview, he was asked to choose between the two footballing superstars, and the former centre-back picked the Brazilian, who joined the LaLiga giants around the same time he did in the 2003/04 season.
"Ronaldinho. I was able to be alongside him from the beginning of this time at Barcelona," Marquez told Marca.
"I saw Ronaldinho had different capacities, obviously Messi is an incredible player, but Ronaldinho had that magic, that party, that joy.
"Whenever you thought he was going to do something he came out with something else, that makes him different."

The Mexican also spoke about the relationship he had with Messi, who made his first-team debut as a 16-year-old a season after Marquez and Ronaldinho's arrivals at the club.
"The relationship was very good, we were not very good friends to say, but inside the dressing room, it was always a cordial relationship," he added.
"We were almost the same style of character, he was quiet and I was quiet too, but on the pitch we transformed, we were different but I always got along with Leo."
