France star Kylian Mbappe could reportedly be punished by FIFA after ignoring warnings about his behaviour at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The Paris Saint-Germain forward has had a controversial 2022/23 season to date, with some reports suggesting the goal-getter has a rift with Neymar in France, while it was also claimed that the Les Bleus forward wants to leave the club despite signing a new deal in May.

With rumours of a PSG exit growing, Mbappe later hit back at the speculation, insisting it was untrue and emphasising that he is happy with the French giants.

With the 23-year-old having been a muted figure in the press since, Mbappe and the French Football Federation (FFF) are now set to be hit with a fine from FIFA after the player refused to stop and speak to the media following France's win over Denmark on Saturday, according to the Daily Mirror

It is said the PSG star had been cautioned against this behaviour after he chose to ignore journalists following his nation's opener against Australia last week.

This led to FIFA warning the player that there will be consequences if this happened again later in the tournament.

Following the 2-1 win over Denmark, at least six Les Bleus stars were spotted talking to reporters, with match-winner Mbappe notably absent.

The ex-Monaco starlet is currently joint-top scorer with Ecuador star Enner Valencia in Qatar, having bagged three goals at the tournament, and is just one strike short of his tally from the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
