Lewandowski's future with Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich remains unclear as he heads into the final of his year contract next season.
There have been reports that Xavi Hernandez is looking to bolster his squad next season with the addition of the 33-year-old and talks have already taken place.
However, Barcelona director Mateu Alemany has played down talk of a meeting between the club and Lewandowski's representatives.
“There was no meeting with Lewandowski’s agent. Also, I don't like to speak about the negotiations process - it's something private," ALemany told Movistar.
"We don’t like to discuss players who are under contract with other clubs".
The Poland international is currently enjoying another prolific season, having bagged 49 goals across all competitions as the Bavarians secured a 10th successive league title.
