Manager Xavi Hernandez has reportedly set his sights on five players as he looks to reinforce FC Barcelona's defensive department.
The Catalan giants have climbed up the table since the Spaniard arrived in the club's dugout, but the team's defence appears to still be an issue as the LaLiga giants have kept just one clean sheet in their past eight fixtures across all competitions.
As such, Xavi is ready to bring in some defensive reinforcements, per Mundo Deportivo.

It is claimed the 41-year-old wants to secure a left-back as a back-up option to Jordi Alba, who is now reaching the latter stages of his career.
Manchester United defender Alex Telles is said to be among the five names being considered for the position.
Although he did not feature much under previous Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the former FC Porto fullback has had more regular playing opportunities under Ralf Rangnick, and has now seemingly garnered the Spanish giants' attention.

Juventus star Alex Sandro is understood to also be under consideration, while Villarreal's Alfonso Pedraza has been linked with a move to the Blaugrana after his role in the Yellow Submarine's 2020/21 UEFA Europa League triumph.
Ajax Amsterdam's Nicolas Tagliafico and Borussia Dortmund star Raphael Guerreiro are also said to be on Barca's radar for the left-back slot.
