A former Real Madrid striker who played under Jose Mourinho has revealed the Portuguese tactician gave no player special preferences and once slated Cristiano Ronaldo in the dressing room after he scored a hat-trick.
Mourinho, who is now without a club after a tumultuous spell with Manchester United, is widely known for his fiery temperament and authoritarian style of man management.
And Emmanuel Adebayor, who had a brief spell under his guidance has further added to the reputation by claiming he "killed everyone" at Los Blancos, even then world-record signing Ronaldo.
The Togo international striker has lifted the lid on one dressing-room meltdown that saw Mourinho take out his frustration on the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.
"At Real, we were winning 3-0 at half-time. [Mourinho] came into the dressing room and went mental," he told the Daily Mail.
"He kicked the fridge, kicked the television, threw water. He killed everyone. I remember he once killed Ronaldo after he scored a hat-trick.
"Everyone says you are the best in the world and you are playing badly. Show me you are the best'.
"Cristiano took it. Ronaldo could score a hat-trick but talk about the one he missed."
