Real Madrid have rejected club-record bids for Marco Asensio and have no intention of including him in a potential off-season squad clearout.

Asensio, 23, has been subject to intense transfer speculation over the past six months after an undwhelming 2018/19 season that has yielded just one LaLiga goal.

This after he was one of Zinedine Zidane's key figures last season, with 11 goals in 53 games across all comeptitions.

Reports have suggested the Spain international could part ways with Los Blancos to revatilise his career and allow Zidane to reinvest into the squad - but his agent Horacio Gaggioli believes the Spanish giants have no interest in sanctioning a sale.

"Over the last year there have been offers as high as €150m and €180m, but Madrid did not want to listen to them," Gaggioli told ESPN FC

"There is always interest in Marco from other big clubs, seeing if he wanted to leave, which is normal for the player he is.

"But he always says that he is very happy with Madrid, is only interested in being a success there. He is still a young kid, improving all the time, and the club is very happy with him too."

Overall, Asensio has scored 27 goals and registered 17 assists for Real in 132 games since joining the club from Mallorca in 2015.
