Spanish outlet Diario Sport have now claimed that Barcelona and City are now in negotiations to swap full-backs Nelson Semedo and Joao Cancelo.
While City are very keen on Semedo, Barcelona are not to happy about letting their Portuguese defender go but they know it could help seal the deal for Garcia.
The Citizens signed Garcia from the Catalan outfit in 2017, but the Spanish outfit reportedly see the 19-year-old as long-term successor to Gerard Pique.

Pep Guardiola revealed last month that he is confident that Garcia would remain in Manchester.
“He has one more year on his contract. If they want him they must call him and we are going to try to convince him to stay here for many, many, many years," he was quoted as saying by Manchester Evening News.

“We want him but if he doesn't want to stay we cannot do anything else. He knows, his agent knows, his family knows that we want him.”
