With Real Madrid believed to have given up on the idea of selling Gareth Bale, the club has now reportedly placed four other players on the chopping block in order to raise funds for new signings.

According to Spanish publication AS, Los Blancos believe that Bale's high wage demands make him an unrealistic target for other clubs and that the Welshman will, in all likelihood, remain at the Santiago Bernabeu next season.

Real reportedly wish to raise around €100 million (R1.9 billion) to reinvest next season and, with the 31-year-old now off the market, could look to offload no fewer than four graduates from their famed academy to reach that target.

With Achraf Hakimi and Javi Sanchez having already been sold to Inter Milan and Real Valladolid, respectively, the quartet of Mariano Diaz, Borja Mayoral, Oscar Rodriguez and Sergio Reguilon are all expected to follow suit.

Diaz has fallen out of favour this season, making just seven appearances across all competitions, while Mayoral, Rodriguez and Reguilon spent the campaign on loan with other clubs across the Spanish top flight.

It is claimed the newly-crowned LaLiga champions plan to use the money gained from the sale of these players to help fund deals for RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano, Ajax Amsterdam midfielder Donny van de Beek and Rennes' Eduardo Camavinga.
