Lionel Messi has arrived in Paris ahead of his expected move to the Ligue 1 giants. Here are the best images!  

The six-time Ballon d'Or winner wept on Sunday as he said farewell to boyhood club FC Barcelona after the Spanish giants explained that they could no longer afford to keep him, citing LaLiga's Financial Fair Play rules.

Only two days later, the 34-year-old is now in the French capital after completing a flight from Barcelona as he prepares to seal a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.

He is now reportedly set to undergo a medical and sort out the finer details of his contract before an official announcement is made.

Upon touching down in Paris, Messi, wearing a T-shirt with the "Ici c'est Paris" ("Here is Paris"), was greeted with a resounding welcome as the Ligue 1 club's supporters eagerly anticipated seeing him in their team's new 2021/22 kits. 

His arrival is said to have revived hope among PSG fans that Barca's all-time record goalscorer, with 672 goals, will boost their club's chances of winning their first-ever UEFA Champions League.
