Former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo has now reportedly received an eye-watering contract offer worth £186 million (R3.8 billion).

The Portugal forward, who will go up against Uruguay at the 2022 FIFA World Cup on Monday night, has been linked with a host of clubs following the mutual termination of his deal with the Red Devils last week.

One of the teams reportedly showing an interest in his services is Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr, with Marca recently reporting that the wealthy side is planning to launch a mammoth contract offer to boost their chances of signing Ronaldo.

With owner Prince Faisal Bin Turki said to be determined to sign the 37-year-old, the Middle Eastern side have now offered him a three-year contract to the value of £186 million (R3.8 billion), according to CBS Sports.

However, while the Saudis have put the huge deal on the table in order to convince Ronaldo to leave Europe, the striker is reportedly still evaluating options on the continent.

The report adds that talks are relatively advanced, with Al-Nassr said to be waiting for the five-time Ballon d'Or winner's final decision.

It is claimed the only formal offer Ronaldo has to date since leaving United is from Al-Nassr.

If he were to accept the transfer, this would see the veteran play until he is 40 years old.

Al-Nassr's rivals Al-Hilal have also been linked with a move for Ronaldo in recent months, having reportedly offered the superstar a two-year deal worth £202 million (R4.1 billion) in the most recent transfer window.
