Paris Saint-Germain react to Real Madrid's massive Kylian Mbappe bid

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly reacted to a massive bid from Real Madrid for Kylian Mbappe.

The transfer saga surrounding the 22-year-old has taken another twist, with the forward having seemingly insisting on leaving the Paris club and the LaLiga side wanting to speed up negotiations with deadline day fast approaching.

The Athletic has reported that the Ligue 1 side has received a club-record-breaking bid of €160 million (R2.8 billion) bid for Mbappe from Carlo Ancelotti's Los Blancos, and have rejected it completely as they have no interest in selling the player in this window.

The fee offered would be enough to make the Frenchman Real's most expensive signing ever, according to Transfermarkt.

Per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Mbappe has already rejected more than three approaches from PSG's hierarchy to renew his contract, which is set to exspire next year, because of his desire to sign for Los Blancos.

Les Parisiens president Nasser Al-Khelaifi finds himself in a difficult situation where he has the chance to recoup most of money the club spent on Mbappe in 2018 or risk losing him for free in July 2022 in an attempt to convince the forward to stay over the next year.

Earlier this month, Al-Khelaifi revealed that he was confident that Mbappe would stay at the Parc des Princes and claimed that he had "no excuse" to leave after PSG significantly strengthened their team with the signings of Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos, Georginio Wijnaldum, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Achraf Hakimi.
