Paul Pogba: I'll show Manchester United they were wrong!

Manchester United star Paul Pogba made some startling comments regarding his impeding exit from the club in his new documentary.

On 1 June, it was confirmed the Frenchman would not stay at the club beyond the end of this month as his contract would not be extended.

Here are some players new boss Erik ten Hag could soon sign for United!

It seems his departure from the Red Devils has left a bitter taste in his mouth, if his words in his new documentary, called The Pogmentary, are anything to go by.

In the film, the midfielder is seen responding to his late agent Mino Raiola telling him about a second offer the club had made the player in July 2021, which was in excess of the existing £290 000 (R5.6 million) a week he earns, with the 29-year-old describing it as "nothing" from his Rolls-Royce.

According to the Daily Mail, a visibly upset Pogba says: "How can you tell a player you absolutely want him and offer him nothing? Never seen that."

Later in the documentary, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner also makes a startling vow towards his current employers.

"[I will] show Manchester that they made a mistake in waiting to give me a contract," he says, per the Daily Mail.

"And show other clubs that Manchester made a mistake in not offering me a contract."

Pogba now looks set for a return to his former club Juventus as a free agent, after leaving them for a then-record €105 million transfer fee to rejoin the Red Devils in 2016.

Talks between the Serie A giants and the player's representative are said to be still ongoing, with a four-year deal expected to be finalised in due course, per Sky Sports.
