Cristiano Ronaldo pips Lionel Messi to European milestone after netting 450th league goal

Ronaldo became the first-ever player to hit 450 goals across Europe's major leagues (Premier League, LaLiga, Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1) on Sunday evening when he netted twice in the Bianconeri's 2-2 draw against AS Roma.

The 35-year-old's tally, which does not include the three goals he netted with Primeira Liga side Sporting Lisbon, is spread across his spells with Manchester United in England, Real Madrid in Spain and with Juve in Italy, and sees him narrowly pip Messi to the milestone.

The Argentine superstar has scored 445 LaLiga goals for FC Barcelona, albeit in 68 fewer appearances within the aforementioned criteria, while no other player in recorded history has scored more than 400 times across Europe's most esteemed competitions.
