Pasquale Bruno: Juventus is a shameful team rule by Cristiano Ronaldo

Former Juventus defender Pasquale Bruno has slammed the Serie A giants for allowing Cristiano Ronaldo to "rule the club".

Bruno, who made 67 league appearances for Juventus between 1987 and 1990, has unleashed a tirade of criticism against his former side in which he accused the club of losing power to players such as Ronaldo.

The 58-year-old blamed the five-time Ballon d'Or winner for influencing the Bianconeri's decision to sack former managers Massimiliano Allegri and Maurizio Sarri, while also mocking the achievements of veteran defenders Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini.

"Juventus is a shameful team, ruled by Cristiano Ronaldo," Bruno told Tika Taka h/t AS.

"They have a shameful team. Bonucci and Chiellini look like two phenomena, but they won nine titles in the fourth most important league in the world. They defeated a finished Barcelona and the next day, the newspapers wrote that they were the team to watch. Come on."

"The team management is ruining everything. They fired Allegri to sign Sarri, but they also fired him after a season because Ronaldo and his teammates run the show. You get the feeling that the players have their say, but it's not right. They are not the ones who should make decisions."

This is not the first time that Bruno has spoken out against Ronaldo, with the former centre-back having previously accused the former Real Madrid star of ignorance due to his apparent unwillingness to learn and speak Italian.
