Following France's UEFA Nations League triumph after defeating Spain in the final, here are the 12 most successful countries in football history, including Carlos Queiroz's Egypt and Lionel Messi's Argentina. 

Les Bleus added another accolade to their trophy cabinet on Sunday night after second-half goals from Karim Benzema and Kylian Mbappe secured a 2-1 win over La Furia Roja for Didier Deschamps' team. 

This triumph brought France the seventh major trophy in their history, adding to their two FIFA World Cups, two UEFA European Championships and a pair of FIFA Confederations Cups, according to GiveMeSport

Meanwhile, in Africa, the Egyptians reign supreme with their seven Africa Cup of Nations trophies that make them one of the world's most successful nations.
