Following Juventus' surprise UEFA Champions League exit, reports have emerged claiming Cristiano Ronaldo will leave the club before the expiry of his contract.
Ronaldo, 34, had featured in the tournament's semi-finals for the past nine campaigns but his marketing revenue streams will no have taken a dip following the Ajax Amsterdam faliure and unlikelyhood of winning the Ballon d'Or for a second cosecutive season.
Italian newspaper, La Repubblica, has since revealed that it does look like the Portuguese will see out his contract at the Allianz Stadium, which is due to run until 2022.
"It's unlikely CR7 will stay until the end of his deal", the publication said today, adding: "Next season may well be his last in Italy."
Having dug deep to sign Cristiano, Juventus' European elimination will have a clear financial impact, with the club's last-eight exit seeing them lose out on €16m (R252m) in prize money.
