PSG dominated the early exchanges as they looked to bounce back from their defeat to Liverpool on match day one.

Neymar put the home side ahead on 20 minutes with an impressive free-kick from 20-yards out for his first goal of the tournament.

The lead was doubled minutes later. Kylian Mbappe broke down the flank before picking out Neymar, who poked home from six-yards out to complete his brace.

The third goal arrived in the 37th minute through Edinson Cavani, who showed good footwork to get into the box before slotting home with a deflected effort.

Four minutes later, PSG nabbed a fourth goal thanks to Angel di Maria's instinctive finish after some good work by Thomas Meunier down the right flank.

Mbappe went close to getting another goal 10 minutes into the second half, but the French World Cup wwinner saw his close-range effort blocked.

PSG registered a fifth goal in the 70th minute, after some fine build-up play involving Neymar, Cavani and Di Maria ended with Mbappe side-footing the ball into the back of the net.

The visitors did manage to bag a consolation moments later, with former Chelsea winger Marko Marin drilling home from close range.

Thomas Tuchel's men rounded off the scoring in the 81st minute after Neymar curled home a second free-kick to complete his hat-trick.
