Wolfsburg 2-4 Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich registered their first Bundesliga win of the year after defeating Wolfsburg 4-2 on Sunday evening.

The Bavarians opened the scoring after just nine minutes when Kingsley Coman's cross evaded Thomas Muller and sailed into the back of the net.

The lead was doubled five minutes later as Coman completed his brace with a neat volley after getting on the end of Joao Cancelo's cross.

Thomas Muller got in on the act in the 18th minute by nodding home Joshua Kimmich's impressive cross.

Wolfsburg did give themselves some before the break after Jakub Kaminski pulled a goal back with his second league goal of the season.

Jamal Musiala did go on to grab a fourth goal for Bayern in the 73rd minute, before Mattias Svanberg netted Wolfsburg's second goal in the final 10 minutes.

The win sees Bayern reclaim top spot, one point ahead of second-place Union Berlin while Wolfsburg remain in seventh spot.

Stuttgart 0-2 Werder Bremen

Werder Bremen kept their European ambitions alive with a 2-0 victory away to Stuttgart.

Bremen came into the game on a high after defeating Wolfsburg, while Stuttgart were winless in their last five encounters.

The first half did not provide any goals, but Bremen got the breakthrough on just before the hour mark when Jens Stage got his first goal of the season.

Marvin Ducksch would go on to wrap up the win with 13 minutes left on the clock with his fourth league goal of the campaign.
