Borussia Monchengladbach 3-2 Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich failed to cement top spot in the Bundesliga after losing 3-2 to Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday afternoon.

The Bavrians got off to a poor start after defender Dayot Upamecano was shown a straight red card after just eight minutes.

The home side went on to take the lead five minutes later when Lars Stindl fired past Yann Sommer after being set up by Jonas Hofmann.

Bayern were back on level terms ten minutes before the break courtesy of a strike from Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.

Gladbach has been Bayern's bogey team in recent years, having come into the clash unbeaten in their last four outings against the Bavarians.

The hosts did go on to restore their lead in the 55th minute as Hoffman registered a goal to go along with his assist, before Marcus Thuram sealed the win in the 84th minute.

Mathys Tel pulled a goal back for Bayern in time added on, but Gladbach held on for the win, as Union Berlin can move top of the table if they defeat Schalke on Sunday evening.

Wolfsburg 0-3 RB Leipzig

RB Leipzig kept their top four ambitions alive with a 3-0 victory away to Wolfsburg.

The away side got the breakthrough in the 14th minute, with Emil Forsberg bagging his third league goal of the campaign.

Konrad Laimer doubled Leipzig's lead in the 85th minute, before Dominik Szoboszlai rounded off the scoring in second-half stoppage time.

Bochum 0-2 Freiburg

Freiburg made it back-to-back league wins after defeating Bochum 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Freiburg got the opening goal six minutes before the halftime break thanks to a strike from Michael Gregoritsch.

The lead was doubled six minutes into the second half, as Lucas Holer found the back of the net with his first goal of the campaign.

The home side would finish the game with ten men after Anthony Losilla was shown a straight red card after the hour mark.

Stuttgart 3-0 Cologne

Stuttgart proved too strong for FC Cologne after registering a big win at the Mercedes-Benz-Arena on Saturday afternoon.

The visitors got off the perfect start when Gil Dias opened the scoring in the ninth minute after being picked out by Genki Haraguchi.

Borna Sosa added a second goal just before the hour mark, while Tanguy Coulibaly wrapped up the win in the 74th minute.
