It has been claimed that Chelsea are becoming impatient with head coach Graham Potter, whom they are said to be thinking of replacing if results do not improve quickly.

According to The Sun, the Stamford Bridge-based club have given the English tactician until the end of the month to turn things around.

The Blues have picked up just a single victory from their last seven matches in all competitions, leading to frustration among the fan base following the excitement that surrounded his appointment.

It is believed that ex-Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is considered a potential replacement for Potter, who joined Chelsea after the controversial sacking of Thomas Tuchel earlier this season.

Contradictory reports suggest that the club will give the 47-year-old the rest of the campaign for his project to show promise, while co-owner Todd Boehly is said to have stepped down from his sporting director role.

The American businessman has divided opinion since taking over from Roman Abramovich, with it thought that he has contributed to the team's dismal performances by taking on an unfamiliar position.

Pochettino, meanwhile, has been out of a job since departing Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the 2021/22 campaign, having previously earned plaudits in England for his stints at Southampton and Spurs.
