Barcelona's president Joan Laporta has confirmed some big news regarding the club's all-time record goalscorer Lionel Messi.
Suarez: I've Never Seen Messi Cry Like That
At the weekend, Laporta, currently serving in his second term as president, said that plans were under way to construct a statue of the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner outside the Blaugrana's famous stadium.
Speaking at Barcelona's latest general assembly, Laporta revealed that Messi would be honoured on the Camp Nou's grounds with the erecting of a statue, news that comes after rumours in recent weeks suggesting the Catalan club would be considering it.
"We will build a statue of Leo Messi outside the Camp Nou," he said, according to Goal.
"The decision has been made."

Laporta's comments come amid speculation that the LaLiga leaders are interested in reuniting with Messi, whose current contract at Paris Saint-Germain is set to expire at the end of the season.
The Argentine is said to be receptive to the idea, having left the Spanish giants under disappointing circumstances as a free agent in August last year.
Messi has since contributed to 42 goals in 47 matches across all competitions for PSG in France, in the form of 19 strikes and 23 assists.
It is believed the former LaLiga superstar will decide his future after the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, with PSG reportedly eager to tempt him into staying in Paris with a new contract.
