With Kylian Mbappe believed to be keen to leave Paris Saint-Germain as soon as the January transfer window, the French giants are reportedly open to letting him leave at a different stage instead.
Report: Bayern Stars Not Happy With Head Coach
PSG's 2021/22 season – a largely underwhelming one for the club – was overshadowed by the constant speculation surrounding Mbappe's future.
The Frenchman had entered the final year of his contract and the rumour mill was in overdrive, with long-time admirers Real Madrid understood to have been ready to sign the forward once his deal with the French giants expired.
With many expecting the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner to make the move to the Spanish capital, Mbappe shocked the football fraternity in May when he signed an extension with the Ligue 1 champions instead, but 13 games into Les Parisiens' 2022/23 campaign and the attacker has seemingly already become disillusioned by his decision to stay at the Parc des Princes.
Among other reported promises, PSG's failure to secure the services of Robert Lewandowski, Gianluca Scamacca or any established No. 9 in the past transfer window has apparently angered Mbappe.
The France international is said to feel misled and betrayed by the club as he is concerned that manager Christophe Galtier's 3-4-3 formation isolates him up front, and brings the best out of fellow attackers Lionel Messi and Neymar instead.
While the Paris native is believed to have told the club he would like to leave in the beginning of 2023, PSG only willing to sell Mbappe once the season is over, according to Le Parisien.
Bellingham Joins Mbappe And Haaland In Exclusive UCL List
While the forward still appears to aspire to join Real Madrid, it seems unlikely Los Blancos would be willing to sign the 23-year-old at this stage as relations between the two clubs appear to have broken down.
