Real Madrid Star Breaks Silence After 'Voting' For Messi Ahead of Benzema

There continues to be speculation around the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner's future ahead of the expiration of his deal in France.

Messi is yet to pen an extension in Paris, but is believed to have an offer on the table at the Ligue 1 champions.

Barcelona have emerged as a potential, but unlikely, next destination for the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner, while there also appears to be concrete interest in him from the Middle East.

Al Hilal are said to have discussed the possibility of moving for the former Catalan club captain, as have Al-Ittihad, according to Barcelona-based journalist Joan Fontes.

The club is reportedly looking to lure Messi to the Saudi Pro League as a free agent when his deal in France runs out by offering him a two-year contract worth €176 million.

Should a transfer materialise, the Argentine would overtake his counterpart Cristiano Ronaldo as the highest-paid player in Saudi Arabia and the world.
