Having made just six appearances this season for Real Madrid, Belgium captain Eden Hazard has seemingly come to a decision regarding his future at the Spanish giants.
Mbappe: Why I Snubbed Real Madrid
Going into the world’s biggest footballing tournament, the 31-year-old has managed to feature only in just games across all competitions in this campaign for the 14-time UEFA Champions League winners.
Hazard, once considered among the best in the world, appears far down Carlo Ancelotti’s pecking order in the Spanish capital but that does not stop him from wanting more in white.
Speaking in a recent interview, the former Chelsea winger seemed to reiterate his position on his future, insisting that leaving the club is not an option he is looking to explore.
"I don't want to leave Real Madrid. Maybe my situation will change after the World Cup," he said.
"I want to play but it’s the manager who makes his choices.
"I accept, but I want to show him that I deserve to play more. When you don't play it's difficult."
Real Madrid 'Angry' With Benzema
Hazard joined Real in 2019 as a club-record signing, but has endured an underwhelming three years in Spain, having scored just seven goals in 72 appearances.
