Greenwood Charged With Attempted Rape, In Police Custody
Royal Antwerp star Radja Nainggolan has received punishment after cameras captured him smoking an e-cigarette before a recent Belgian Pro League clash away at Standard Liege.
Nainggolan, 34, best known for his time at Roma between 2014 and 2018, had caused controversy in Belgium recently after he was found to be driving without a licence.
A club statement confirming his suspension, according to the Mirror, read: "The club had a conversation with Radja Nainggolan about his general behaviour and how this affects the club and the team.
"The club has decided to expel Radja from team A indefinitely. Neither the player nor the club will make any further comments on this."
Nainggolan's sideline actions seemed to emerge only after Antwerp's 3-0 defeat to Standard Liege as he came on at half-time of the clash.
Antwerp are currently second in the league standings behind Genk, whom they will take on in an important top-of-the-table encounter this coming weekend.
Nainggolan joined the Belgian side in 2021 after three years on Inter Milan's books, where he claimed the Serie A title in the 2020/21 season.
