The draw for the first round of the Nedbank Cup took place on Thursday evening, with the big guns all avoiding each other.

The round of 32 is made up of 16 teams from the DStv Premiership, eight teams from the Motsepe Foundation Champions while the other eight spots are filled by the ABC Motsepe League and SAFA divisions.

Mamelodi Sundowns are defending the champions after they defeated Marumo Gallants in the final last season with a 2-1 victory at Royal Bafokeng Stadium.

The Brazilians will began their defence against Richards Bay FC, which is a repeat of last season's Last 32 clash where the champions ran out 4-0 winners.
