Since taking over from Daine Klate as the club’s interim coach, Mammila has been on a roll.

AmaZulu, Marumo Gallants and more recently Kaizer Chiefs have all received defeats at the hands of the former police officer’s Chilli Boys and he will hope to continue that impressive run against Sekhukhune United on Wednesday.

Despite all the progress he has made an Chippa’s convincing seventh position on the DStv Premiership standings, questions still remain over Mammila’s qualifications as a head coach.

As things stand, Mammila holds a CAF D license, although he plans to upgrade that in just over a month’s time, due to the waiting period set out by the African football governing body.

“I’m only allowed to obtain my CAF C License after 30 November 2022. My six months waiting period expiring this November. I will surely go for CAF C Licence immediately after that. Waiting Period  CAF D - CAF C, 6 months. CAF C - CAF B, 12 months,” he tweeted in response to a fan suggesting he should stop ‘clowning around’.

It is unclear how long Mammila will serve as the Gqeberha outfit’s interim coach, although he could be handed the job on a more permanent basis should he continue this impressive winning run.
