A former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder has opened up on his concerns regarding Arthur Zwane's team, despite the notable progress made by the Soweto giants.

Amakhosi have gone into the break sitting in fourth place on the log after winning six from 13 matches and while ex-Chiefs midfielder Humphrey Mlwane is pleased with the team’s progress, he has raised concerns about the number of goals conceded.

“I have been impressed by the team so far and the only concern I have is the number of goals conceded. Conceding 15 goals from 13 matches is a bit too much and the team needs to rectify that. It’s like conceding a goal in each match and that can’t be right. I would love a situation where the team doesn’t concede in three matches in succession after the break and that would be a big improvement,” said Mlwane, speaking to the Siya crew.

“But for me, Arthur has a had a good start as the coach for the club and it’s been impressive he knows the club very well and I know that he’s had a lot of new players he is working with, which means it can take a little bit of time for him to get everything right. He and the team just need to work on the defence and things will be alright,” the ex-central midfielder added.
