Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane has suggested he's convinced that some of the youngsters in the fringes of the senior team are ready to stake their claim in the big time.
Chiefs missed out on a chance to fight for silverware in the Carling Black Label tournament after they were knocked out by Orlando Pirates in the semi-finals via the penalty shootouts following a goalless draw.

There was some controversy in the closing stages of the derby after Ashley Du Preez had a goal disallowed for offside. However, Zwane has reflected on the positives of the game and says youngsters Mduduzi Shabalala, Samkelo Zwane and Wandile have shown that they are ready to fight for places in the senior team after changing the game off the bench against the Buccaneers.
'10111' has hinted that the likes of Shabalala, Zwane and Duba will get more minutes in the near future, as that will also encourage other youngsters in the junior ranks that they can also make it in the senior team.
"Definitely, we will give them an opportunity, that's one thing if you can see that's the direction we're taking as the club, giving these youngsters an opportunity," Zwane told journalists in a press conference.

"But apart from that we looked dangerous in those half chances that we created, yes it's good for the young boys and that will also encourage other youngsters who are playing in the DDC (DStv Diski Challenge) team," he said.

"That if you can go in there and change the complexion of the game when there is about 80,000 people at FNB Stadium, then that means mentally they were ready and that's all that we expect from them.
"And if they can cope with that, then that means the next they will be even much better, so it will also help other youngsters that are waiting on the wings for their opportunity to come," he added.
