Mokwena says it was right for the team to have right mindset after what happened at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.

"Well congratulations to the boys, congratulations to Sundowns to the yellow nation, congratulations to the coaches, not a very easy game but look we took our chances," Mokwena told SuperSport after the game.

"We were very aggressive today on transitions, aggressive on regains, we showed a lot of hunger today which is good to show the right mentality, to respect the brand, to respect the club.

"Especially after what happened on the weekend, so congratulations to the boys and congratulations to the entire club."

Mokwena has now called for the league leaders to remain humble as they look to secure another win before the World Cup break.

"Now we just have to stay humble you know and show the same hunger in the next match, Maritzburg are very difficult to beat, especially here at Harry Gwala," he went on.

"A pitch that suits a low block and the possibility to spread themselves across the pitch and we did very well with our speed of the ball today.

"And the speed without the ball because they are a very good side, don't take the score as an indication of the level of the opposition, we did very well today. Now is just to maintain, keep the same hunger and keep going."

Mokwena was asked his thoughts on Mailula, who got his brace in his first start, after he also scored a hat-trick on his first start in the CAF Champions League against La Passe but he chose to praise almost the whole team.

"No they were good, a lot of them were good today, Haashim Domingo was good, Grant Kekana was good, Rushine (De Reuck) did very well in the moments that he played," he said.

"Teboho (Mokoena), (Marcelo) Allende was good, probably his best performance today, 'Cassy' (Mailula) was very good," he added.
